FOSTER, Mervin F. - Surrounded by the love of his family at the Woodstock Hospital, on Thursday November 6, 2014. Mervin "Merv" Frederick Foster of Woodstock in his 83rd year. Beloved husband of the late Beatrice Foster (nee Herlick) (2010). Cherished father of Lisa (Barry) Walker, Debbie (Bruce) Farrell, Dan (Barb) Bloomfield and Marc Foster. Loved grandfather of 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Merv is also survived by his sister Diane (Phil) Jones, as well as his dear friend Joan Chamberlain. Merv owned and operated Woodstock Auto Wreckers for many years, after his retirement he and Beatrice were Super Intendants for 8 years of the Chieftain Apartments. Predeceased by his parents Frederick and Kathleen Foster and by his sister Donna Baker. Friends will be received by the family at the Brock & Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004, on Sunday November 9,2014 after 12:30pm, where the complete memorial service will be held in the chapel at 1:30pm.
