Dear father of Howard Melvin French of Woodstock, Gerald French of Brampton, Don French of Brampton, Richard French of Woodstock, Debra Pollari and her husband James of Ancaster and Scott French of Toronto. Loving grandfather of Anna Lies, Gregory, Kara, Erika, Ashley and Chelsey. Dear brother of the late Everett French and his wife Joyce, Eleanor Jenkinson and her late husband Ernie, late Myrtle Jordan and her late husband Ross, Bruce French and his wife Betty, Bernice Browne, Rosemary Gibson and her late husband Ron, Robert French and his wife Helen, Ron French and his wife Joyce, late Wayne French and his wife Betty and the late George French. Melvin was a longtime member of Huron Park Baptist Church, a member of the CAW Retirees and the Parkinson Foundation Support Group. Friends may call at the R.D. Longworth Funeral Home 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 539-0004 on Thursday from 7-9 pm and on Friday September 23, 2005 at Huron Park Baptist Church, 199 Berwick St., Woodstock from 12:30 - 1:30 pm where the funeral service will be held on Friday at 1:30 pm with Pastor Phil Cole officiating.
