BERTRAND, Meldrum David - At the Woodstock General Hospital, on Wednesday October 20th, 2011. Meldrum "Mel" D. Bertrand of Caressant Care Nursing Home and formerly of RR# 4 Woodstock in his 93rd year. Beloved son of the late Herbert and Bertha (nee Taylor) Bertrand. Predeceased by his siblings Selena (Mindert) Wouda, Frederick (Mae) Bertrand, and Wilfred (Dora) Bertrand. Mel was born and raised in East Oxford Township where he lived and farmed with Wilfred and Dora Bertrand and their family Glen, Jo-Anne, Linda and Roy. He is survived by his nieces and nephews; Ken (Lorene) Bertrand, Glen (Elaine) Bertrand, Jo-Anne (Bob) Spence, Linda (Enos) Evans, Roy (Vaira) Bertrand , Jack (Winnie) Bertrand, Wilma (Bill) Farr, Grant (Barbara) Bertrand, Brian (Gerry) Bertrand and Nova (Dan) Axford and their families. The family will receive friends at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock 519-539-0004 on Sunday, October 23rd 2011fom 2 - 4 pm. The funeral service will be held at Christ Church Anglican, Oxford Centre on Monday October 24th 2011 at 1:30 pm. Interment in the Christ Church Anglican Cemetery, Oxford Centre.
