Max Edward Swance

SWANCE, Max E. - Peacefully with his family by his side at Woodingford Lodge Woodstock, on Thursday, August 4 2011. Max E. Swance in his 85th year. Much loved father of daughter Maxine Harwood and her husband Don. Cherished grandfather of Lori Nieuwhof, treasured great grandfather of Jordan and Leanne, and step grandfather of Deb Simpson and family. Also survived by his brother Carl (Phyllis) Swance, and sister-in-law Lillian Whitehead, as well as several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his beloved wife of 63 years Lillian (nee Case) Swance, sisters Fern Kennedy and Nina Maskell, parents Benjamin and Pearl Swance. Dad will be greatly missed by his extended family and staff at Woodingford Lodge. The family will receive friends at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home (Formerly Longworth's) 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock 519-539-0004 on Monday August 8, 2011 after 1pm where a service of Celebration and Remembrance will be held in the chapel at 2pm.
