JAQUES, Maurice Arnold “Digger” – Passed away on Wednesday March 16, 2022, at his home with family surrounding him. He is survived by his children; Earl (Melanie), Marianne, Karen (Doug) Goff, and Allan (Lorraine) as well as 12 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, siblings Gail Jaques, Cecil (BettyAnn) Jaques, John (MaryLou) Jaques, Ivy Ingold, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Nila (1995), son Clifford (1999), brothers Bill (2021), Walter (2016), sister-in-law Virginia (2017), sister Rosemary (2015), brothers-in-law Fred Fishback (1986), Leroy Ingold (2003), Mum Marion (1995) and Dad Ross (1960). He was a long-time resident of Oxford Centre and a member of the L.I.C.O. for many years and a good friend and relative to many of his neighbours. He enjoyed digging in the middle of the fields in his backhoe also driving school bus, and for fun hunting with his hunting group and fishing. Friends are invited to join the family at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Monday March 21, 2022, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm where the complete funeral service will be held in the chapel on Tuesday at 11:00 am with Rev. Rob Luxton officiating. Interment later in the Christ Church Anglican Cemetery, Oxford Centre. In lieu of flowers the family is asking that donations go to the two things that remained dear to his heart, Christ Church Oxford Centre or Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters.
