Mary Anne (Heath) Hughes

Mary Anne Hughes (nee Heath), age 69, passed away at Woodingford Lodge in Woodstock on December 17, 2021. Born on April 17, 1952 to Harry and Millie Heath, Mary was known for her kind heart, quick wit, and punny jokes (I can paddle a boat… canoe?). She was a favourite teacher to many, and good friend to even more. Mary treasured spending time with her family, especially at Christmas, which—from the personalized crackers to her holiday sweaters and light-up earrings—she made magical. Mary is predeceased by her parents, and Lola and Ede Hughes. She is survived by her husband Michael, and daughters Laura and Kathryn. The disease stripped Mary of her memories, so we’ll gather to share ours. A Celebration of Life will take place in the new year when it is safe to do so (details to come).
