Mary Margaret (Foster) Mangolt

Mary Margaret Mangolt (nee Foster) - Passed away peacefully on October 30, 2023, in her hometown of Woodstock, Ontario. Born on April 5, 1932, Mary lived a fulfilling life of 91 years.

Mary was the beloved wife of the late Joe Mangolt, who predeceased her in 1992.   She was the proud mother of Mary Becker (Graham), Lyn Hough, Joe Mangolt Jr, Chris Martens, Mike Mangolt (Donna LeBlanc), and Josie Mangolt. Her love extended to her grandchildren, Heather, Sonya, Ryan, Garrett, Derek, Kevin, Matt, Suzanne, and Jenn, who will remember her fondly. Mary was also blessed to have several great-grandchildren, a role she cherished deeply. She is survived by her brother-in-law, George Mangolt, and was predeceased by her parents and five siblings.

Mary's work history was rooted in the land, she and Joe farmed in Sweaburg, a testament to her hard work and dedication.

Despite being a private person, Mary's love for her family was evident in every aspect of her life. She lived a quiet life, preferring the company of her loved ones to the hustle and bustle of the outside world.  Mary's interests were simple, yet profound. She found joy in the everyday moments, cherishing the time spent with her family above all else.

Friends will be received on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave. from 10-11am.   Memorial service will follow in the funeral home chapel at 11am.   Interment at St. Mary’s Cemetery.  For those who wish, donations in Mary’s memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
