HENDRIKSEN, Mary (nee Van Asseldonk) - It is with heavy hearts that the family of Mary Hendriksen announces her sudden and tragic passing on November 9th, 2021. Mary was in her 61st year and was the beloved wife and best friend of Theo Hendriksen for 38 years. Loving mother of Christopher (Lauren), Stephen (Chelsey), Amy (Jason) and Erin (Kevin). Cherished grandmother to Gabriel, Antoinette, Carter, Everly, Henry, Walter, Ralph, and Elliot. Survived by her mother Nancy. Dear Sister of John, Henry, Joanne (Gavin), Ken (Marylynn), Jim (Lydia), Nancy (Glen) and sister-in-law of Annette (Greg), John (Barb), Mark, Hank (Sheryl) and Marilyn (John). Mary was a loving aunt to her nieces and nephews and a dear friend to so many. Predeceased by her father Harry (2004), father-in-law Ray (2013) and mother-in-law Mary (2019). Mary was the rock to her family and lived her life with faith, love, and compassion. Her generosity, thoughtfulness and helping spirit touched the lives of all those who were dear to her. Mary’s greatest joy came from spending time with her family and grandchildren, and she will be greatly missed. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all those who loved her. Family and friends are invited to celebrate and remember Mary’s life on Sunday, November 14, 2021, from 1-4 pm at the Thamesford District Community Centre at 85 Middleton St, Thamesford. Visitors must provide proof of double vaccination and masks will be required. Her funeral will be a private ceremony for family members on Monday, November 15, 2021, at 11 AM. A live stream will be set up for friends of Mary who would like to join. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Homes for Hope El Salvador and Ronald McDonald House Charities, which were causes dear to her heart.
