Mary Alway "Mur" (Poole) Finlayson

FINLAYSON- Mary Alway "Mur" Finlayson (nee Poole) of Woodstock at age 61 on May 21, 2006 at home surrounded by her loving family. She died as she lived her life - with grace, strength and humour. Her family, friends and caregivers were inspired by her courage and dignity as she faced aggressive cancer. Cherished by her children - Drew Finlayson (Geraldine) of Ramsey, NJ, and Heather Finlayson of Vancouver - as an affectionate mother who gave unconditional love and encouragement. Beloved grandmother of Alexandra "Kiki" and Oliver Finlayson. Dear sister of Peter Poole (Donna) of Woodstock, Julie Poole (Archie Campbell) of Toronto, and Jane Coad (Richard) of Woodstock. Friends may call at the R.D. Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock (539-0004) for a memorial visitation on Friday June 2, 2006 from 3-7 pm. Interment will take place on Saturday, June 3, 2006 at 11 am at St. Mary's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, Woodstock General Hospital Foundation, or the Canadian Mental Health Association would be appreciated.
