EVANS - Mary M. - Peacefully at her residence on Thursday February 24, 2011. Mary M. (nee Ecclestone) Evans of Woodstock in her 96th year. Daughter of the late Dr. W.M. and Gladys Ecclestone of Toronto. Beloved wife of late Dr. Enos Evans (1979) and William "Bill" Smith. Dear mother of Rob (Nancy) of Toronto, Enos (Linda) of Bruce Mines, Peter of Thunder Bay and Marcia (Chuck) Dew of Woodstock. Loved grandmother of Michelle, Kay, Russell and Kris and great grandmother of Arielle, Anne, Izaiah and Shannon. Sister-in-law of Sue Ecclestone. Predeceased by her siblings Gladys (Jack) Purkis and Gordon Ecclestone. She strongly supported the Oxford Museum, Woodstock Public Library and an honourary member of Oxford Historical Society and charter member of Oxford Branch, Ontario Genealogical Society. Friends may call at the Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Friday February 25, 2011 from 7-9pm, where the complete funeral service will be held in the chapel on Saturday at 1:30 pm.
