It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Martin Hossack, in his home, after a brief illness on Sunday, February 19th, 2023. Marty farmed the family farm on the 25th line east of Thamesford his entire life. First with his father and then with his brother Alex. His love of agriculture led him to his next passion: racehorses. His horses are often seen leading the way at the Western Fair Raceway. It was through horse racing that he met his soulmate Karen 24 years ago. They became a family with her children, Robert (Karen) and their children, Alyssa, Avery, and Austin; Billy (Ali) and their newborn Colby; Tyler (Katie) and Taylor. Marty and Karen affirmed their love for one another in a beautiful ceremony at the farm, surrounded by family. Marty will be remembered by his furry best friend Jessie, the farm dog. Cherished by his sister Jo Ellen McKay of Norwich and family, Phyl and Andy Jansons of Minnesota, brother Alex (Lisa) and family of Thamesford, and sister-in-law Dawnya (Jason) and family of London. He is predeceased by his parents Alex and Isabel, brother-in-law Don, mother-in-law Maryanne, and brother-in-law Keith. Friends are invited to join the family for a celebration of life at the Thamesford Community Centre Hall, 85 Middleton St., Thamesford, on Sunday, February 26th, 2023, from 1 to 4 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Thamesford Calithumpian and Woodstock Hospital. Personal condolences and donations may be arranged online at www.brockandvisser.com
The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Palliative Outreach Team of Woodstock (PCOT), especially Dr. Sondhi.
