Mark Stephen Leslie

LESLIE, Mark – Passed away peacefully at his home with his beloved wife and daughter by his side on Thursday, February 17, 2022, in his 62nd year.  Beloved husband of Beth (nee Archer) Leslie for over 37 years.  Cherished father of Marcie (Kyle) Benjamin and Matthew (Gabe) Leslie.  Dear son of James and Dorothy (nee Stoakley) Leslie.  Loving brother of Jim (Marianne) Leslie, Vicki (Gabriella) Benoit and Greg (Brenda) Leslie.  Proud pa of Everett, Morgan and Weston.  He will be missed by his many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Mark and Beth met at WCI and were high school sweethearts.  Mark was a jack-of-all-trades beginning his career as an electrical technician followed by his millwright.  He started out at Purina in Whitby, followed by working at Timberjack, the City of Woodstock, Vuteq and at his brother’s business, Jaemar Winches, and then successfully running his own business named Kyjo Steel.  He loved sports, to work in the garden and always had one or more projects on the go. He enjoyed travelling with his dear wife especially to sunny places.  His happy place was at the cottage up north, especially when he was fishing. He was always willing to give a helping hand to anyone who needed it.  He always made you feel so welcome and comfortable with his wonderful, contagious smile and dry sense of humour.

Mark will be greatly missed but he is in heaven and as believers we have that assurance that we will see him again.

Friends are welcome to join the family at Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Tuesday, February 22, 2022, from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., followed by a service in celebration of Mark’s life at 11:00 a.m.  Friends are asked to RSVP their attendance to the visitation and/or service on the funeral home website.  Cremation has taken place.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Oxford Baptist Building Fund or Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.  Expressions of sympathy may be given at www.brockandvisser.com
