Marjorie Lanaway - former long time resident, recently living in Listowel, Ontario, passed away Wednesday August 25, 2004. She battled cancer with dignity and a positive attitude. Predeceased by her husband, Mackenzie Lanaway (1990) of Woodstock. Survived by daughter Stephanie and husband Don Pellow of Caledon, grandson Nicholas Pellow; granddaughter Vanessa Pellow, her partner Dan Lafleure and great-grandson Grant; and great-granddaughter Jessica Pellow. Also survived by son Andrew Lanaway of Carstairs, Alberta, partner Evelyn Stone and grandchildren Rhys and Zoe Lanaway. Also survived by daughter Miranda Romanick of Atwood, Ontario, partner John Cottee and granddaughters Devon Romanick and Ellen Cottee. Marjorie also leaves behind two sisters-in-law Barbara Pattinson of Woodstock and Josephine Walls of Tavistock. Marjorie served the community of Woodstock as an employee of the Board of Education; as a member of municipal boards and committees including the Library Board and the Housing Authority. She campaigned as the New Democratic Party candidate in two federal elections. Friends may call at the R.D.
