Marion Alma Furlong

FURLONG, Marion Alma (nee Canning) - The angels brought Marion home to the Lord on Sunday August 6, 2017 at the age of 81. She passed away peacefully with her family by her side at Sakura House Hospice in Woodstock. Marion spent close to 60 years living in Sault Ste. Marie raising her family prior to moving to Thamesford in May of 2016 to live with her son Eddy and daughter-in-law Kathy. Predeceased by her husband Lionel "Bill" Furlong, her parents Ambrose and Lillian Canning, and sister Anna (Ben) McGuire. Survived by her sons Jim, Bob (Rickie-Lynne), Eddy (Kathy), and Philip. Proud grandmother of Sean (Shaena), Scott (Kaitlyn), Kathleen (Anthony), Danielle (David), and Dustin. Dear sister to John (Grace) and Eddie (Doreen) Canning. Beloved aunt to several nieces and nephews. Marion was a past member of the Blessed Sacrament CWL, and Knights of Columbus Seniors Club in Sault Ste. Marie. Friends and relatives are invited to join the family at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home Thamesford Chapel, 177 Dundas Street West, Thamesford, (519-285-2427) on Thursday August 10, 2017 from 11:00am - 12:00pm. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Mary Immaculate Parish, 1980 Trafalgar Street, London, at 1:00pm. If desired, memorial contribution to the V.O.N.
