Marion Jean (Syms) Capling

Marion passed away peacefully at Woodingford Lodge on Sunday, April 28, 2024 at the age of 88 years.  Wife of the late Henry John "Hank" Capling, (2007), and the late Albert Capling (1966).   Strong and loving mother of Ken Capling (Josie) and the late Donald Ross Capling (1983).   Proud Grandma of Dan Capling and C.J. Capling, and Great Grandma of Brady.   Marion was the last surviving member of her own family, predeceased by her parents, Thomas and Alice Syms (nee Lyons), and by her sisters Ruby Carter and Florence Baker.   She will be fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews.   Marion was born in Bright, Ontario, and her family had strong ties to the area.  She raised her children while helping on the farm.  In her later years, she enjoyed the simple things in life and took great pride in her grandchildren and great grandchild.

Friends will be received for a celebration of Marion's life on Friday, May 3 from 2-4pm at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home.  Private interment will take place at a later date at Ratho Presbyterian Cemetery.  For those who wish, memorial donations would be welcomed to the Alzheimer Society or the Canadian Cancer Society.
