Marion Marguerite (Malcolm) Buchanan-Carter

BUCHANAN-CARTER, Marion M. (nee Malcolm) - It is with sadness that we announce the passing of a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Marion (nee Malcolm) Buchanan-Carter on Wednesday, June 20th, 2018, in her 95th year. Beloved wife of the late Fred Buchanan (1966) and Vern Carter (1998). She is survived by her children Margaret (late Robert) Dykeman, Beth (Bruce) Harmer, Judy (late Howard) Crane, Russell Buchanan and John (Bonnie) (and late Donna) Buchanan. Step children Jane (Wendell) Smith and Tom (Teresa) Carter. She will be dearly missed by her 19 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren. She is survived by her sister-in-law Annie Mae (late Vic) Carter, Mabel (Art) Knox, and Doreen (late Russell) Salsbery-Malcolm. Marion was predeceased by her parents, Hugh and Olive (nee Barnard) Malcolm, brother Finley and Russell (Luella), sisters and brothers-in-law Anna (Archie) Longworth and Merle (Archie) Brenneman. She will be greatly missed by a large family of nieces, nephews and many, many dear friends. Friends and relatives are invited to join the family at Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave. Woodstock (519-539-0004), on Sunday, June 24, 2018 from 1 to 4 pm. The service will take place at St. David's United Church, 190 Springbank Ave., on Monday 1:00 pm. Cremation to follow. If desired, memorial contributions to the Kidney Foundation, VON-Sakura House, Alzheimer Society-Oxford or Wish Upon a Star Program of Woodingford Lodge would be appreciated.
