Marie (Baker) Sutherland

SUTHERLAND, Elizabeth Marie passed away at her place of residence, Park Place Retirement Home, Woodstock on Thursday, December 20, 2007 in her 99th year. Born in Fullarton Township, the daughter of the late George and Mary Baker. Beloved wife of the late Earl Sutherland (1991). Loving mother of George and his wife Lynne of Woodstock, and Carolyn Jones and her husband Art of Michigan. Lovingly remembered by her granddaughters Lori (Jason), Tammey, Libby (Troy), Valerie (George) and by her great-granddaughters Dianne, Danielle, and Morgan. Remembered by her sister-in-law Shirley Walkom of Mitchell, brother-in-law Mel Sutherland of Woodstock, and her many nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by her sisters Hazel Walkom (1974) and Anne Francis (2002). She was the last surviving member of her family. Marie was a longtime member of Central United Church, group 3 of the U.C.W., and a longtime employee of Canadian Tire. Friends may call at the Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock (519-539-0004) on Thursday, December 27, 2007 from 12:30-1:30 pm where a memorial service celebrating Marie's life will be held in the chapel at 1:30 pm with Rev.
