Marie Ella Anderson

Marie Ella Anderson, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on June 24th, 2023, at the age of 90 in Woodstock, Ontario. Born on January 23rd, 1933, in Hearst, Ontario.

Marie was devoted to her soulmate, Charlie Murphy, and her dear daughters Nancy Bright, Shirley Bright, and Lucie (Don) Thompson and daughter-in-law Cheryl Anderson. Tragically, Marie's sons Joey (Holly) and Bobby predeceased her, yet their memories remained dear to her heart. Marie's love for her family extended to her cherished grandchildren: Craig, Jennifer (Dave), Rosie, Rick, Robin, Miranda (Bob), Nicholas, and Jay. She was also blessed with 16 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren, who filled her life with love, laughter, and joy. Throughout her life, Marie was known for her creativity and passion for crafts of all kinds. She spent nine fulfilling years at Caressant Care in Woodstock, where she enjoyed participating in bingo, cards, craft time, and various games. Her love for her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren was unmatched, and they were truly the center of her world. Marie is survived by her loving family, including her sister Sis. (nun) Jacqueline Labelle, brother Marcel Labelle, sister-in-law Lise Labelle. She was predeceased by nine siblings, who she held dear in her heart.

In her memory, donations may be made to the Woodstock Hospital or the Canadian Cancer Society.

Cremation has taken place, A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday July 3, 2023, from 1-3 pm at Brock and Visser Funeral Home (845 Devonshire Ave, Woodstock, Ontario)

Followed by an interment at St. Mary’s Cemetery
