de Vries, Maria - Called home to her Heavenly Father at Woodstock General Hospital on Saturday, December 12, 2009. Maria de Vries (nee Nagtegaal) of Burgessville in her 93rd year. Beloved wife of the late Hendrik de Vries (1997). Dear mother of John of Burgessville, Mary Nieuwland (Art) of Drayton, Dick (Penny) of Surrey, BC, Henry (Christi) of Brantford, and Peter (Anne) of Essex. Loved grandmother of Paula (Jeffrey), Scott (Emily), Tamara (Steve), Sherry (Ben), Richard (Melanie), Brandon, Billy (Melissa), Jamie (Kelly), Jeff (Amber), Hannah, Christopher, and Michael. Also remembered by nine great grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, (519-539-0004) on Tuesday, December 15, 2009 from 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held at Maranatha Christian Reformed Church, 577 Norwich Ave., Woodstock, on Wednesday at 2:00 pm with Rev. Dirk Miedema officiating. Interment in Norwich Cemetery.
