GRIFFIOEN, Maria C. - Passed away peacefully at her home in Huntingford on Monday May 29th, 2017 in her 97th year. Beloved wife of the late Hendrik Griffioen (1967) . Loving mother of Hendrick Griffioen (Ruby Toes) , Rita Lawrence, John (Deborah) Griffioen and Anita Griffioen (Nino De Luca). Forever missed by her grandchildren Lisa (Joe), Henry (Colleen), Teresa, David ( Jennifer), Connie, Sheri (Terry), Darryl (Michelle), John (Tamarah), Michelle (Shawn), John (Elisa), Corrina, Olivia, Jennifer, Jason and Michael, and also 18 great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren. Dear sister of Annie (Jan) Schager and Harry (Ann) Van leperenburg. Maria will also be missed by many nieces and nephews. Maria is predeceased by her children Adriaan Griffioen (1987) and Elizabeth Hanenburg (1986), grandchildren Kimberly (2014) and Michael (1995), siblings, Coop (Allie) Van leperenburg and Corr (Theo) Rozenbaum. Friends are invited to join the family at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Wednesday May 31st, 2017 from 2:30 - 4:30 and 6:30-8:30pm. A service will be held at the Covenant Christian Reformed Church, 410 Lansdowne Ave., Woodstock on Thursday June 1st, 2017 at 11am with Reverend Ralph Koops officiating. Interment at Christ Church Anglican Cemetery, Huntingford. If desired, memorial contributions to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of ones choice would be appreciated.
