FOLKEMA, Marg J. - Passed away after a long and courageous battle with Lymphoma. Margrid "Marg" Joanne (nee Zondervan) Folkema was taken into the arms of her Saviour on Wednesday September 20, 2017 at Sakura House, Woodstock. Beloved wife of Luke Folkema for over 44 years. Cherished mother of Heidi (William Marsh) Folkema, Angela (John) VanBergeijk, Melanie (Peter) van Brugge, Katrina (Joshua) Martens, Elissa (Jeff) Krul, Marten (Emma) Folkema. Loved grandmother to Aden, Mariska, Julia, Kaila, Ezra, Ava, Jameson, Dylan, Adam, Hailey, Evelyn and Ellis. Dear sister to Aneta Zondervan, Marvin (Marg) Zondervan, Ingrid (Joe Taylor) Geris, Ed (Dorothy) Zondervan, JoAnn (Al) Schaafsma, Stanley Zondervan, Rose Verburg and is survived by her many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Predeceased by her parents; Alec and Hilda (nee Terpstra) Zondervan and by her brother Stan Zondervan. Marg was a dedicated and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Her passion for her family will continue to live on in the hearts of her children and grandchildren. Friends are invited to join the family at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Friday September 22, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A funeral service to honour Marg's life will be held at Emmanuel Reformed Church, 170 Clarke St N, Woodstock on Saturday at 11:00 am with Reverend Peter Burrill officiating.
