Margaret Isobel (Walker) Parrott

PARROTT - M. Isobel (nee Walker) - has gone to walk in the garden with Jesus and to be among the butterflies. Beloved wife of Harry , loving mother of Craig and his wife Sharron of Windsor, Nancy Sibley and her husband Phil of Luxembourg, and Lori Ripley and her husband Mark of Woodstock. Loved grandmother of of Sara Prince (Parrott); Matthew Parrott; Mindy, and Chris Hawkins; Wendy, Jennifer and Greg Sharp; Lisa Young; great-grandmother of Natalie and Liam Prince; Gerald and Zack Young. Predeceased by her parents and two brothers Alex and Byron; survived by her sister Betty Fowler of Mitchell. Many nieces and nephews also survive her. Isobel was born and raised in Mitchell Ontario. After her marriage she settled in Woodstock in September of 1947. There in her early days, she was quite active in the affairs of Chalmers Church and the community. In her middle life she continued her involvement but was also marvelously supportive and involved in the political affairs of her husband. In her later years she immensely enjoyed her home and many friends. Her age was 39 years (twice) plus a day. Friends may call at the R.D. Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 539-0004, www.longworthfuneralhome.com, on Sunday 2-4 and 7-9pm. A memorial service in remembrance of Isobel will be held from Chalmers United Church, Woodstock on Monday at 11:00am with Rev. Donald Linkletter officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Women's Emergency Centre or Multiple Sclerosis - both of which Isobel was a founding board member. All the family knew she was the wind beneath their wings
