Margaret Helen (Danos) Munro

MUNRO, Margaret - Peacefully, in the home she loved, Margaret Helen Munro (née Danos) passed away on Wednesday November 23rd, 2011, in her 90th year. Beloved wife of the late Gerald Munro (1996). Dear sister of Georgina Wadsworth of London and Robert Danos of Sarnia. Also survived by several nieces, nephews, and their children. Predeceased by her brother Nick (2001) and sister Agnes (2002). Margaret was a lifelong resident of Woodstock, a loyal patron of its downtown businesses, and a devotée of CBC radio. Margaret's competence in her role as long term office assistant to Dr. J. B. Poole was legendary, and she cherished the enduring friendship of the Poole family. She and her husband, Jerry, also enjoyed many happy years at their cottage in Long Point. Marg's fierce intelligence, unwavering independence, and quiet generosity will be missed by all who knew her. In keeping with Margaret's wishes, cremation has taken place and internment will follow later this week at Oxford Memorial Park Cemetary.
