Margaret Ada (Whitelaw) Kent

KENT, Margaret- Passed away peacefully on Thursday March 28th, 2013 at People Care Centre, Tavistock. Margaret Ada Kent (nee Whitelaw) was born July 3rd 1910 in Woodstock, and died at the age of 102. With the exception of 20 years in Tillsonburg she spent her entire life in Woodstock. Loving wife of the late Maurice Bernard Kent (1998). Cherished mother to Margaret Senyck and the late Nick (1992), and James (Joan) Kent all of Woodstock. Dear grandmother to Katharine Senyck of Waterloo, Susan (Randy) McArthur of Brampton, Jennifer (David) Merrick of Grand Prairie, and Joel (J'Neanne) Kent of Woodstock. Dear great-grandmother to Samuel & Kevin McArthur, Evan and Graydon Kent, Dylan and Jaylen Merrick. Also survived by nieces Mary (Howard) Pye, Phyllis (Donald) Stoddard. Margaret was a life member of the IODE Havelock Chapter and belonged to Central United Church Women and sang in church choirs for 50 years. The last member of her own family, she was predeceased by her parents, G. Arthur Whitelaw and Jennie Milson, her sister Beatrice (Victor) King and her brothers; Arthur (Viola), James (Mary) and Allan Whitelaw. A private family interment will be held at a later date in the Hillview Cemetery.
