Margaret Ellen Innes

With sadness, Margaret's family announces her unexpected passing on Thursday, February 6, 2025 at home surrounded by love at the age of 90. She is reunited with her beloved husband, Bruce, who predeceased her in 2004. Dear mother of Geoff, Nancy Pellow (Greg), Heather Ward (Brad), Jackie Verhoeven (Dan) and Scott (Kim). Proud Grandma of Hailee, Ryan, Megan and Ben. Dear sister of Ann Ward (Bruce), late William Shelton, late Mary Connor and late Harry Shelton. Margaret is also predeceased by her brothers and sisters-in-law in the Innes family.

Margaret was a devoted wife and mother and took great pride in raising her family. She was skilled in canning and quilting and belonged to the St.James Church quilting group in Ingersoll. She was a scrapbooker, creating beautiful keepsakes of memories. Margaret was also a member of the congregation at Christ Church Oxford Centre for nearly 40 years, making many friends. 

Friends will be received at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock on Saturday, May 10, 2025 from 11am-12:45pm. A memorial service will take place in the funeral home chapel at 1pm, with a reception to follow. Interment at North Embro Cemetery. For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to Christ Church Oxford Centre Memorial Fund or to a charity of one’s choice.
