Margaret Esther (Ellacott) Holman

HOLMAN, Margaret (nee Ellacott) – With her family by her side passed away peacefully at Woodingford Lodge, Ingersoll on Saturday, December 10 in her 85th year. Beloved wife of Frank Holman for 63 years. Loving mother of Derek (Carol) Holman, Paul (Julie) Holman, Brian Holman, and the late Dean Holman (1991). Cherished grandmother of Taylor (Darryl) Wettlaufer, Spencer Holman, Adam (Emily) Holman, Mathew Holman, Adrian Holman, Beth (Paul) McKiernan, Katie (Chase) Wall and great grandmother of Macy, Lilly, Theo, Homer, and Lily. Sister to Lloyd Ellacott. Predeceased by her parents John and Elizabeth Ellacott, sister Ruby Smith, and parents-in-law Carl and Edna Holman. Margaret was a very proud wife, mother, grandmother, sister, sister-in- law, and friend who welcomed everyone into her home with open arms and a table of food. Her generosity was one of her many wonderful attributes. Margaret was a hairdresser by trade and who loved to entertain and travel. Originally from Monkton, Ontario, Marg met Frank at a church social and were married December 12, 1959. Raising 4 boys in Woodstock was certainly challenging however Marg’s ability to juggle family, work and the household was what kept her and her family happy. Friends are invited to join the family at Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Thursday, December 15 from 10:00 – 11:00 am for visitation, followed by the memorial service in the chapel at 11:00 am.
