GUEST - Peacefully, on Tuesday September 28, 2010 at Woodingford Lodge, Woodstock surrounded by her family. Margaret Elizabeth (nee Burrows) Guest of Woodstock in her 84th year. Beloved wife of the late Victor Gordon Guest (2008) for 59 years; mother to Paul (Lori) of Barrie, Carol-Ann Ellis (Jim) of Kitchener and Ian (Brenda Beretta) of London. Proud grandmother to Helen, Heather, Hayley, Kevin and Caitlyn. Step-grandmother to Stephanie Ciccarelli (David) and Michael Sillers: step great-grandmother to Venture, Camilla and Daphne Ciccarelli and is survived by her cousin Bessie Plant of Halesowen, England. Margaret was a longtime member of New St. Paul's Anglican Church (Church of the Epiphany) where her involvement included membership with the A.C.W., Chancel Guild, Quilter's Guild, and was also a volunteer with the Woodstock General Hospital Auxiliary. Margaret was a bookkeeper with the original Beaver Lumber then worked for David Stock until her retirement in 1989. Her hobbies included knitting, needle point, quilting and sewing. Family and friends and even those who didn't know her have enjoyed the benefit of her handy work. A memorial service to commemorate Margaret's life will be held at the Church of the Epiphany, 560 Dundas St., Woodstock on Saturday October 2, 2010 at 2:00 pm with a public visitation of friends and family one hour prior. Interment in the Anglican Cemetery. Cremation has taken place. Contributions to the Alzheimer Society or the Church of the Epiphany Stained Glass Window Restoration Fund would be appreciated and may be arranged through the Longworth Funeral Home, Woodstock, 519-539-0004.
