KLINGENBERG, Mannes- At the Woodstock Hospital on Wednesday May 31st 2017. Mans Klingenberg of Woodstock in his 94th year. Beloved husband of the late Roelie Klingenberg (2015). Dear father of Christina Yates and her husband Gordon, John and his wife Dianne, Grace Hanenburg and her husband Roy and Gerald and his wife Diana. Opa will always be remembered by his many grandchildren, great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Dear brother of Harry Klingenberg, Grace Koopman, Rita Vantil, Jane Damsma and Fenny Zwygers as well as many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his sister Christine Noordstra and brothers, Jim, Jack, Gerrit, Berend, and John Klingenberg. Mans and his wife Roelie emigrated from Holland, landing in Canada January 1950 to work a small farm in Tavistock. After a stint in farming, Mans worked at Woodstock Golf Course. In 1959 Mans was offered the Greens Superintendent position at Craigowan Golf and Country Club, where he stayed until his retirement at 65. He was a graduate of the University of Guelph, obtaining a degree in horticulture. Church life played a vital role in Mans' life, where he was treasurer for over 50 years. After retirement, Mans and Roelie enjoyed numerous rounds of golf, as well as traveling with friends and family. Friends and relatives are invited to join the family at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Friday June 2nd 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9pm. The memorial service will be held at Covenant Christian Reformed Church, 410 Lansdowne Ave., Woodstock on Saturday June 3rd 2017 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Ralph Koops officiating.
