PAQUETTE, Margaret Ann (Weiler) - Our Maggie passed away August 18, 2010. She was a cherished mother, grandmother and great grandmother, a loving and loyal sister and aunt, and a treasured friend to so many. Maggie has always been described as unique and one-of-a-kind. Her kindness, gentleness, common sense and candor touched so many lives and gave her family and friends a very worthy role model. She was born November 10, 1927, the eldest of a closely-knit family of nine children, and was the accepted final authority in most strong discussions. She loved to read and always wrote a well thought out critique in the book when she finished it. Maggie's cooking efforts were the topic of family folklore and resulted in sons who knew they had to learn to cook for themselves. Maggie is survived by her sons Bill (Jane), John (Helen), Rob, and Peter (Michelle), grandchildren Jason (Jennifer), Daniel (Katharine), Ryan, Marcy (Jim), Leah, Paul, Kelsey and Cori and 6 great grandchildren. She also leaves behind sisters Veronica Markle (June), Monica Steele (Jim), Nancy Chadwell (Glenn) and Lynda Newman (Richard), sisters-in-law Doreen Weiler and Gail Weiler, and many nieces and nephews. Maggie was predeceased by her true love, Art, in 2006, her twin sister Mary, and her brothers Bob, Raymond and Sandy. While Maggie was with us, she taught us about love, interdependence, compassion and tolerance. We're grateful to you for those lessons, Maggie, and promise to pass them on. Friends will be received at the Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, (519-539-0004), on Saturday, August 21, 2010 after 1:00 pm where the memorial service will be held in the chapel at 2:00 pm. Please bring your stories to share with each other as we celebrate Maggie's life. If desired, contributions to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
