KING, Mabel Irene (nee Rooke) - It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Mabel Irene King at her home, Park Place Retirement Residence, Woodstock on Sunday November 6, 2016. Beloved wife and partner for 69 years of David King. Predeceased by their children Jean, Carol and Wayne. Dear sister of Marjorie Cook, Harold (Norma) Rooke, Robert (Barb) Rooke, Linda Vernooy, sister-in-law Florence Rooke, Irene Rooke, Helen Farrar, Harry (Annice) King and Marlene King. Lovingly remembered by her "adopted daughter" Wendy Hart-Maxwell and many other nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Clarence and Jennie Rooke, her in-laws Robert and Flora King, brothers Arthur Rooke, Charles Rooke, sister Shirley Orr, sister-in-law Edna Morris, and by her brothers-in-law Pete Vernooy, Ken (Pearl) King and Don (Kay) King. Friends are invited to meet with the family at the Brock & Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Saturday November 12, 2016 after 10am. The complete funeral service will be held in the chapel at 11am. Cremation to follow.
