Mabel Agnes (Allen) Barlow

BARLOW - It is with great saddness but thankfulness for a long life that we announce the passing at her residence on Wednesday March 12, 2003 of Mabel A. Barlow (nee Allen) of Sydenham St., Woodstock in her 96th year. Beloved wife of the late William G. Barlow. Dear mother of Donald and his wife Elaine of Tonawanda N.Y., Patricia Steele and her husband William of Lucknow and Marion Luce and her husband Barry of Dorchester. Loved grandmother of 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Dear sister of Bud Allen of Texas. Predeceased by her brother Frank and sisters Edith Griffin, Maude Desmond, Phyllis Orris and Mary Pitt. Dear friend of Jamie Campbell and Carol and Paul Turner Mabel was an honorary member of Eldon House Chapter IODE, London. Mabel wielded flashing knitting needles making mittens, baby sets and slippers for under privileged children. She has found peace and she has been reunited with the love of her life, her husband Bill. Her love will live on in each of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, as will our love for her. Her presence in our lives will be constant knowing she is looking down on us from above to guide and love us even though her earthly presence is no longer. We love you. Cremation. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Contributions to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Salvation Army would be appreciated and may be made through the R.D.
