M. William (Bill) Hague

January 7, 1940 — July 6, 2004

HAGUE - Surrounded by his family on Tuesday July 6, 2004 at the Woodstock General Hospital after nearly a 20 year struggle with Multiple Sclerosis M. William ‘Bill' Hague of Woodstock in his 65th year. Beloved husband of Elizabeth ‘Liz' Hague (nee Boynton) of 43 years. Dear father of Steven of RR#2 Burgessville, Michael (Jennifer) of RR#5 Ingersoll, Lisa of Ingersoll and Melanie of RR#2 Burgessville. Loved grandfather of Mitchell and Jordan Hague and Ryan and Justin Barnim. Also survived by his brother Wes (Shirley) of Norwich. Predeceased by his parents Malcom B. Hague (1974) and Rose Hague (nee Brackenbury) (1965). Bill owned and operated M. B. Hague & Sons for 25 years which was the business his father started and was a member of the M.S. Society Woodstock and participated in the annual M.S walks for several years. He did the M.S. Bike Tour on his stationary bike which gave him the idea of going on an imaginary trip across Canada and back. Bill was proud to have been an active participant in the opening of the Trans Canada Trail in August 2000 by being a part of the Relay Team. His greatest achievement was making the trail in the Trillium Woods at Sweaburg wheelchair accessible for everyone to enjoy. Bill was also a past member of the Sweaburg Lions Club. He is free now. Friends may call at the R. D. Longworth Funeral Home 845 Devonshire Avenue Woodstock (539-0004) on Friday 2:30 - 4:30 & 7 - 9 pm where a memorial service will be held in the chapel on Saturday at 10:00 am with Rev.
