CALHOUN (Wentzell), Marie Frances "Fran" - It is with great sadness that the family announce the sudden passing of Fran at LHSC - Victoria campus on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 in her 82nd year. She is the beloved wife of Dr. Ronald Calhoun for over 64 years. Loving mother to Lynn Calhoun, Larry Calhoun (Bonnie), and Lori Lee (Ken). Cherished grandmother to Joseph Calhoun (Alison), Jennifer Vording (Marc), Jayson Mead (Cayla), Amanda Mead (Abdullah), Jennifer Lee, Matthew Mead, Michelle Lee, and Katherine Lee and great-grandmother to Emma Calhoun, Joshua Vording, Morgan Vording, Spencer Calhoun, and Eloise Frances Anne Mead. Daughter of the late Bertha and Doug Ford. Sister to James Wentzell (the late Dorothy) and the late Leo Wentzell (Helen) and sister-in-law to Jim, Bob, Ruth-Anne Calhoun, the late Fred Calhoun and the late Jean Fowler as well as many special nieces and nephews . Fran is re-united with her loving foster parents Helen and Maurice Gowanlock and will be sadly missed by her dear foster siblings. She is lovingly remembered for her love of flowers, butterflies, and music. "She was the wind beneath our wings and we were richly blessed by her presence in our lives". Friends may join the family on Friday, May 5, 2017 from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the Brock & Visser Funeral Home Thamesford Chapel, 177 Dundas St., Thamesford, ON. The Funeral Service will be held at the St. John's Anglican Church, Thamesford, on Saturday at 2:30pm with Rev. Larry Edwards officiating. Interment in the St. John's Anglican Cemetery with reception to follow in the church hall. Memorial contributions to the Terry Fox Foundation, the Canadian Diabetes Association, Jesse's Journey, or Partners in Research greatly appreciated.
