Lynda Mary Teresa Young

YOUNG, Lynda (Belinda) - was born June 22, 1960 in Dublin, Ireland and has lived in Canada for 20 years. She was mother to five daughters; Beverley Dunne, Melissa Dunne, Hazel Dunne, Sorcha Dunne and Naoise Dunne and a devoted partner of 13 years to Su Lyttle. Belinda was well known for her compassion, caring, and her infectious laugh. She was the Clinical Manager for the Family Counselling Centre of Brant and also had her own private practice, Celtic Counselling Services, in Woodstock. Belinda was a Psychotherapist, Master Hypnotherapist, EMDR & NLP Practitioner; had a Bachelor of Arts Honours SDS degree and MSW. She has a wide circle of friends, co-workers, and clients and will be missed by many in Canada and Ireland. She is already missed by her two dogs: Happy & Ted. Belinda lost her battle to H1N1 complications on February 2, 2011 at the London University Hospital after 11 days and after 24 days before that in a hospital in Mexico. Thanks to all those who have expressed kind thoughts, the untiring fundraising committee, fundraisers, and the generosity of so many. Friends and relatives are invited to join the family at the Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Sunday February 6, 2011 from 4 - 6 pm, where the complete funeral service will be held in the chapel on Sunday at 6 pm. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a fund set up to help cover medical expenses or a charity of your choice would be appreciated..
