Lula Marie Topham

Lula Marie Topham, known affectionately as Lula, passed away peacefully on September 18, 2023, in Woodstock, Ontario. Born on March 31, 1922, in Durham Centre, Lula lived a life full of love, service, and dedication to her community

Lula was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is survived by her devoted daughter, Linda Faulkner (Ronald), cherished grandchildren Mary (Donald) and Fred, and adored great-grandchildren Dorian and Adrian. She was predeceased by her siblings Mildred Thomas, Winnifred Law, Wray Prouse, Eileen Penny, and Jack Prouse and infants Marguerite and Thomas.  Lula's family was her pride and joy, and she cherished every moment spent with them.

Lula was a woman of faith and a longtime member of Chalmers United Church. Her faith was a guiding force in her life, providing her with strength and comfort. She was also a Charter Member of Woodingford Lodge Auxiliary, where she made many lifelong friends and contributed significantly to the community.

Lula's passion for agriculture and horticulture was evident in her involvement with the Agricultural and Horticultural Society, where she served as Past President. Her leadership and dedication to these societies were instrumental in their growth and success. She was also a Past President of the Ontario Association of Agricultural Societies (O.A.A.S.) of Ontario, where she worked tirelessly to promote and support the agricultural community.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, September 29th from 2-4 pm at Brock and Visser Funeral Home, followed by an interment at Hillview Cemetery
