Loury George Forsey
March 15, 1927 — November 27, 2018
FORSEY, Loury George - Of Woodstock Ontario in his 92nd year, passed peacefully away on Tuesday, November 27th, 2018 surrounded by his loving family at VON Sakura House. He was married to Nina Mary Forsey in 1948 sharing 70 years together. Loury is survived by his 8 daughters : Lynn (Larry) Tait, Beverly (Brian) Simmons, Laurie (Brian) Hanninen, Sharon Forsey, Nina (Brad) Knox, Cindy (Leon) Tryon, Bonnie (Mark) Onjukka, Susan (Bill) Holt and 2 sons : David (Lucy) Forsey, and Allen (Jodi Poole) Forsey. Loved grandfather of 24 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, and 6 great great grandchildren.
Loury was known as "the traveller ". He loved playing all musical instruments, boating, hockey, tennis, fishing and baseball. Loury was a God-fearing, loving family man who was instrumental in starting and organizing the Woodstock Seventh Day Adventist church. A private family service and burial has taken place. A memorial visitation will be held at the Woodstock Seventh Day Adventist Church, 594754 Oxford 59, Woodstock. on Sunday January 13, 2019 from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm.
