HELMUTH, Lorne Eldon - Passed away surrounded by the love of his family on Saturday November 11th 2017 at Sakura House in Woodstock in his 92nd year. Beloved husband of Mary M. Helmuth (nee McAuley) for over 65 years. Loved father of Kenneth Helmuth and Stephen Helmuth. Dear grandfather of Tracy (Paul) Shanahan, Sarah (Vedran) Otomancek, Laurel (Steve) Anderson, Rachel Hall, Cheyanne Helmuth, Nick Helmuth, and Stephanie Helmuth. Great grandfather of Chloe, Cameron, Jake, Connor, Jocelyn Brody, Jace and Jett. Survived by his sister-in-law Edith (late Jim) McAuley. Predeceased by his siblings Glenn (Katy Anne), Stuart (Geraldine), Dorothy (Mervin) Roth and, Elda (Vernon) Nafziger. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Lorne was employed with Lowes trucking for many years, a proud member of the South Gate Seniors Centre, and a longtime member of Dundas Street United Church. Friends and relatives are invited to visit the family at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock (519-535-0004) on Wednesday November 15th 2017 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm where the funeral service will be held in the chapel Thursday November 16th 2017 at 11:00 am with with Reverend Bonnie Pilkey officiating.
