Lorna Jean (Young) Ferguson

FERGUSON, Lorna Jean (nee Young)- After a long, happy and busy life dedicated to her family, her church, and the music profession, Lorna passed away peacefully in her 90th year at Country Terrace in Komoka. Beloved wife of Howard W. Ferguson for 68 years. Loving mother to Roger (Laura), Glen (Jan), Wayne (Kim), and Dr. Brian (Barb). Precious grandmother to John Adam (Leslie), Danielle, and Michael. Loved by her great-granddaughter Emma Charlotte. Predeceased by her parents J. Arthur and Jessie Young (nee McKeller), her siblings Helen McLachlan (Don), Don Young (Shirley), and Rubie Britton (John). Lorna is survived by her brother Roderick Young (Aileen). She will be lovingly remembered by her many nieces, nephews and extended family. Friends and relatives are invited to visit with the family at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home Thamesford Chapel, 177 Dundas St, Thamesford (519-285-2427), from 2 to 4 pm and again from 7 to 9 pm on Wednesday, September 12th, 2018. The funeral celebration will take place at the Westminster United Church, 115 George St., Thamesford, at 11:00 am on Thursday, September 13th, 2018, where she played as the organist for many years. Internment at Zion Cemetery to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Westminister United Church, V.O.N. Sakura House, or a charity of choice would be appreciated.
