MERRITT - Peacefully at the Woodstock General Hospital on Friday March 18, 2005. Lorene A. Merritt of Anderson St., Woodstock in her 92nd year, went to be with her Lord. Beloved daughter of the late Walter and Eliza Merritt. Dear sister-in-law of Mary Merritt of Cambridge and Grace Merritt of St. Thomas. Lorene is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her sisters Elizabeth Harper, Freda Merritt and Jean Hough and by her brothers Philip, Merv, Roy and Leo Merritt. Friends were received at the R.D. Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 539-0004 on Sunday from 3-5 pm, where the complete funeral service will be held on Monday March 21, 2005 at 1:30 pm with Captains Phillip and Wavey Birt and Rev. Robert Merritt officiating. Interment in the Union United Cemetery, St. Thomas following cremation. Contributions to the Salvation Army or the W.D.D.S. would be appreciated.
