Lola Grief Profile Photo

Lola Grief (nee Hurst), born on January 5, 1930, peacefully passed away on February 6, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was a remarkable woman whose life spanned nearly a century, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories that will be forever held in the hearts of her family and friends.

Lola was the beloved mother of Sharon (Tim) Bishop, Bill Grief, and Nancy (Jeff) Tierney. She took immense joy in her role as a grandmother to Kelly (Adam), Stephanie (Jamie), Debbie (Jeremy), Lindsey (Sean), and Geoff. Lola was also a proud great-grandmother, nurturing a large and vibrant family that includes Taylor, Ashton, Presley, Everley, Cameron, McKenzie, Paris, Hayden, Samantha, Jaxson, Ryder, Preston, Michael, Lily, and Euan.

Her late husband Bert, who shared over 58 years of marriage with her, has been reunited with her in eternal peace. Lola will always be remembered for the close bond she shared with her late grandson Billy Grief, who predeceased her in 2014.

A woman of many interests, Lola found joy in completing jigsaw puzzles and took great delight in the companionship of her cat named Tippy. These passions were a testament to her kind spirit and her ability to find happiness in the little things.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Regis, Dr. Gite, Dr. Zhang, and all the nurses and staff at VON and VON Sakura House for their compassionate care and support during Lola's final days.

In accordance with Lola's wishes, cremation has taken place. A private service will be held at the Anglican Cemetery where she will be interred with her late husband, Bert.
