BRENNEMAN, Lloyd A. - Born on October 26, 1918 in Cassel Ontario, passed away at his residence on Monday January 10, 2011. Lloyd Alexander Brenneman of Caressant Care, Woodstock and formerly of Canterbury St., Woodstock in his 93rd year. Beloved husband of Elizabeth (nee Oberlander) Brenneman. Dear father of Garry Brenneman and his wife Diane, Raymond Brenneman and his wife Marybel all of Embro, loving stepfather of Elizabeth Mongeon and her husband Claude and Gisela Horvath (Alex Ristanovic) all of Brantford. Loved grandfather of Anne MacKenzie (Donald), Sara Avoledo (Mike), Garry Brenneman Jr., Kathy Simon, Michael Simon (Trisha), Cheryl Barnard and great grandfather of Michael, Ian, Samuel, Anthony, Adam, Noah, Briar, Lauren, Kael and Kye. Also survived by his sisters-in-law Jessie Brenneman of New Hamburg and Carmeen Brenneman of Woodstock. Predeceased by his brothers Reuben, Alvin (Hazel), LaVerne, sister Gladys Becker (Ervin) and grandson Robert Brenneman. Lloyd was the last surviving member of his own family. He was a longtime member of Bethany Lutheran Church, a past member of the Embro Oddfellows, Royal Canadian Legion # 318, Embro and volunteered with Meals on Wheels. Friends will be received at the Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Wednesday January 12, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A complete funeral service will be held at Bethany Lutheran Church, 175 Springbank Ave., Woodstock on Thursday at 11:00 am with Rev. Sara Faulhafer officiating.
