Linda Alice (Green) Janssen

Linda Alice Janssen, a beloved figure in the Woodstock community, passed away peacefully on September 26, 2023. Born on Christmas Day in 1944, also in Woodstock, Linda was a cherished presence in her hometown for nearly eight decades.

Linda was predeceased by her beloved husband, Leo, and their cherished daughter, Wendy. She is survived by her brother, Frank and his wife Sharon, along with her sisters-in-law Antoinette, married to Case, and Willy, wife of Dave, Gary and his wife Linda, Liz and her husband Tim and Tilly. Linda is also survived by her very dear friends Roy and Charlene. Linda's love extended beyond her immediate family, touching the lives of her many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Linda's life was marked by a love for adventure and the great outdoors. An avid traveller, she enjoyed exploring new places and cultures, creating a tapestry of experiences that enriched her life and those around her. She was particularly fond of wintering in Myrtle Beach, where she enjoyed the warmth of the sun and the gentle lull of the ocean.

A seasoned golfer, Linda found joy on the green. Her passion for the sport was evident in her dedication to perfect her swing and the camaraderie she shared with her fellow golfers. Her stoic nature and quiet demeanor were a calming influence, both on and off the golf course.

Linda's passing leaves a void in the lives of those who knew and loved her. As we mourn the loss of Linda, we also celebrate the rich, fulfilling life she led, and the indelible impact she had on those fortunate enough to know her.

Family and friends are welcome to Brock & Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Avenue, WOODSTOCK (519-539-0004) on Tuesday, October 3, 2023 from 11am – 12pm. A Memorial Service will follow in the chapel at 12pm. Linda will be laid to rest with her husband Leo at the Anglican Cemetery.
