Leslie David "Dave" Johnson

Johnson - Leslie David George (Dave) passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer on June 24, 2024 in Woodstock in his 80th year.  Predeceased by his beloved wife, Shirley (nee Morden) in 2007.  Dear father of Ryan and his wife Tracey, Ellen Carlson and partner Kevin, and James and his wife Janice.  Proud grandfather of Trevor, Cory, William, Erin, Patrick and Colin.

Beloved son of the late Leslie William Johnson (1979) and Ellen Gault Johnson (1952). Remembered fondly by his sister Maureen and husband Barry Vreeland and family as well as his mother-in-law Shirley Morden. He will also be missed by his large extended family including many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Dave held many positions throughout his life in work and was actively involved with the Drumbo Agricultural Society as well as minor sports in the Drumbo area.

Friends will be received at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock on Friday, July 5 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm.  A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 6 from 12-3pm at the Drumbo Agricultural Hall, 42 Centre St., Drumbo, with Sharing of Memories at 1pm.  For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Drumbo Agricultural Society.
