Leonard "Leo" Spriel

SPRIEL, Leonard "Leo" - of Sweaburg, formerly of Harley passed away at the Woodstock Hospital on Saturday January 26, 2019 in his 87th year. Beloved husband of Engeline (nee Stremler) Spriel for over 60 years. Dear father of Roger (Jody), Linda Molenaar (Michael), Gerald (Karen), Marion Kennedy (Brian), JoanneTalbot (Patrick), George (Angela). Loving grandfather of sixteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Corrie Tuinhof (Ray) , John (Ruth), Janny Witteveen (Gerry), Harry, Willy Mason, Jane Smeltz, Walter VanWyk, Coby Spriel, Betty Hallema (Harry), Bob Stremler (Lola), Allan Stremler (Lynda), Herman Stremler (Heather). Leo will always be remembered by his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brothers Peter, Jack and sister Henny VanWyk as well as sisters-in-law; Norma and Mary and brothers-in-law; Clyde Mason and Bob Smeltz. Friends are welcome to join the family for visitation at Emmanuel Reformed Church, 170 Clarke St. N, Woodstock, on Wednesday January 30, 2019 from 1:00 - 2:00 pm, where the memorial service will be held in the Sanctuary on Wednesday at 2:00 pm with Pastor Peter Burrill officiating. Interment will have taken place in the Harley Cemetery.
