LAPOINTE - At London Health Sciences Centre - Victoria Campus on Tuesday, October 27, 2009, Leonard "Len" Joseph Lapointe of Woodstock in his 73rd year. Beloved husband of Sharon Lapointe (nee Whitelaw). Dear father of David (Marnie) and Ronald (Jennifer) all of Woodstock. Loved grandfather of Clayton, Kinlee, Thompson, and Christena. Dear brother of Armande Brotzel (Gene), Bert (late Margaret), Raymond (Linda), Jackie DesRochers (Cam), and Linda Scott and brother-in-law of Ronald McLeod (Jean), Robert Whitelaw (Rosalie), and Dale Whitelaw (Dianne). Also survived by several nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews and cousins. Predeceased by his parents August and Bertha Lapointe, in-laws Russell and Christena Whitelaw, brother Donat Lapointe, and sister Yolande Lapointe. Friends will be received at the Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, (519-539-0004) on Thursday, October 29, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm where the funeral liturgy will take place in the chapel on Friday at 11:00 am with Father Swavek Szwagrzyk of Holy Trinity Catholic Parish officiating. Cremation to follow with interment at a later date in St. Mary's Cemetery. If desired, donations to London Health Sciences Centre - Critical Care Unit, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, or the Woodstock General Hospital would be appreciated.
