Leo "Bud" Ernewein

Passed away while surrounded by family at Woodstock Hospital on Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at the age of 94 years.  Reunited with his beloved wife, Doris, who predeceased him in August, 2022.  Loving father of Larry (Elaine), Linda McNaught (Randy), Mike (Nancy), Joe (Barb) and Julie Cole (Bruce).  Proud grandfather of sixteen grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.  Bud is predeceased by his granddaughter Kendra (2013) and son Danny (2022).  He is also fondly remembered by his daughter-in-law, Karen Ernewein.

Bud was active in Woodstock curling and senior league baseball. Doris and Bud were longtime parishioners and choir members at Holy Trinity Catholic Parish. They also sang semi-professionally - performing for many years in various vocal ensembles including the SouthGate Centre Choir.    Bud loved to tinker, could fix anything,  but mostly he loved working on older cars – affectionately known as “Bud-mobiles”.

A memorial mass for Bud will be planned at a later date.  For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to South Gate Centre for the Building Renovations - Capital Campaign,  in memory of Bud Ernewein.
