Leo Albert Hammer

Leo passed away surrounded by the love of his family at Sakura House on Thursday, February 22, 2024 at the age of 61. Loving husband and best friend to Karen Hammer (nee Howard), with whom he shared 41 wonderful years.  Leo is the proud father of Kory Hammer and Kara Jarvis (Nathan), and doting Grandpa "Pa" to Landon. Leo is also survived by survived by 2 brothers - Victor and Eddie, and 4 sisters - Jeri, Doreen, Debbie and Pauline, nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his mother, Virginia Hammer. Leo was a machine operator with Arriscraft for over 20 years. Outside of work, Leo loved sports, especially enjoying golf season. He was a hockey fan (reluctantly cheering the Maple Leafs), a lover of music (who could name any band with one hit song), and he enjoyed photography.

Friends are invited to join Leo's family for a Celebration of Life on Sunday, March 3 from 1-5pm at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home.  For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to Sakura House.
