MACKAY, Lawrence Robert - Passed away at the Woodstock Hospital after a five year battle with cancer, with family and brother Alan by his side on Tuesday August 9, 2016 in his 70th year. Beloved husband and best friend of Donna Marjorie MacKay (nee Reed) for over 46 years. Loving father of Rob and Stacey MacKay and Andy and Sarah MacKay. Cherished grandfather of Riley, Andrew, Mya, Hannah and Lily. Dear brother of Avery MacKay, Ian and Linda MacKay, Barry and Jill Mackay, Alan Mackay, David and Cathleen Mackay and Margaret Mackay. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Andrew and Gladys Mackay, brother Murray (1979) and sister-in-law Brenda (2006). Friends are invited to meet with the family at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock (519-539-0004) on Sunday August 14, 2016 from 1-3pm and on Monday August 15, 2016 from 10-11am where the funeral service will be held in the chapel at 11am. There will be a private family interment, following the reception at the funeral home.
