HOLLAND, Laverne "Vern" - At the Woodstock Hospital on Tuesday May 29, 2012. Laverne "Vern" Edison Holland of RR# 3, Woodstock in his 79th year. Beloved husband of Ina G. (nee Clarke) Holland and the late Marilyn (nee McColl) Holland. Dear father of Douglas and his wife Lynne of London and Al and his wife Wanda of Woodstock. Loved grandfather of Lauren, Jeanette, Sandra, Christopher (Erin), Nicholas and great grandfather of Logan. Dear brother to Raymond Holland and is also survived by sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Predeceased by his brother Gord and by his sister Hazel Shea. Laverne was a longtime member of Dundas St. United Church, a former owner/operator of Sterling Fuels and past active member of the Woodstock Kinsmen Club. Friends are invited to join the family at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Sunday June 3, 2012 from 1- 4 pm, where the funeral service will be held in the chapel on Monday at 11:00 am with Rev. Bonnie Pilkey officiating. Interment to follow in the Oxford Memorial Park Cemetery.
