YOUNG - At London Health Sciences Centre (Westminster Campus), on Saturday March 18, 2006. Lawrence "Laurie" A. M. Young of Woodstock in his 67th year. Beloved husband of Bonnie L. Young (nee McHardy) for over 45 years. Dear father of Sherry Deller and her friend Norm Rhame of Woodstock, Karen Ross and her husband Jim of Embro, Christine Swick and her husband Steve and Patti Cole and her husband Rob all of Woodstock. Loved grandfather of Stephen Deller (Pam Hlembizky), Jayne and Julie Deller, Tiffany and Evan Swick, Travis Ross and Jessica and Allyson Cole. Dear brother of Sandra Highley and her husband Al of Burgessville. Predeceased by his parents Arthur (1983) and Verna (1982) Young. Laurie served locally with the R.C.R. as a young man, later he joined the (E.M.O.) The Emergency Measures Organization which led to his involvement with the O.P.P. Auxiliary for over 30 years of service. Laurie was also a tool and die maker with Fisher Controls for over 40 years and in his retirement spent time at Tigercat, Woodstock, Transdrive, Woodstock and drove school bus locally. Friends may call at the R.D. Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock (539-0004) on Tuesday March 21, 2006 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm where the complete funeral service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday at 11:30 am.
